BRIT FLOYD, The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Experience, kick off the second leg of their 2024 P-U-L-S-E World Tour—Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Pink Floyd's Division Bell + Greatest Hits—on Thursday, May 16 in Columbus, OH at Kemba LIVE. Harry Waters (Roger Waters’ son and piano and Hammond player) will join this tour once again for another eight shows starting from the Atlanta show on Saturday, May 25 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center through the sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheater show in Colorado on Thursday, June 6.

Miya Folick has announced that she will support UK artist The Japanese House on select dates this summer. Next week, she will join Mitski as the special guest support for five sold-out shows including four nights at the Eventim Apollo in London, and will headline the Lafayette on May 12th while in the UK.

Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have released a reflective new single, “Soul’s A Camera”. Recorded during the Strangers No More album sessions, the new song will be one of the featured tracks on the band’s recently announced Strangers No More Volume II LP – due out September 12th. The final guests for Season 49 of Saturday Night Live have been announced as Maya Rudolph and Jake Gyllenhall. Maya Rudolph will host “SNL” for the third time on May 11. The five-time Emmy Award winner currently stars in and executive produces the second season of Loot. Jake Gyllenhaal will host the May 18 season finale, returning as host for the third time. He makes his series debut as star and executive producer of “Presumed Innocent,” premiering June 12 on Apple TV+. 

Deadline has reported that Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas will appear in a new musical comedy from John Carney, director of Once and Sing Street. The film, titled Power Ballad, is said to tell 'the story of a wedding singer (Rudd), a rock star (Jonas), and the song that comes between them.' The musical, which is currently filming in Dublin, will hit the Cannes market this month.

According to reportsm Anthony Hopkins will be taking on another real-life figure by playing composer George Frideric Handel in a new biopic from Andrew Levitas, director of Minimata. The script for the film, titled The King of Covent Garden, was written by playwright and professor Tim Slover and centers on Handel while he creates his 1741 masterpiece, Messiah.

Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons will be starring together in a comedy from Simon Curtis, the director of My Week With Marilyn and Downton Abbey: A New Era. The forthcoming comedy will center on Nigel (Irons) and Marie (Close), playing former Broadway veterans who are now living in a retirement community. When they discover the hidden talents of their fellow residents, they decide to put on a show starring Nigel and produced by Marie.

Netflix has released the full-length trailer for Eric, a new limited series from Abi Morgan. The series, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann and McKinley Belcher III will be arriving on Netflix on May 30th, 2024. Set in 1980s New York, Eric is a new emotional thriller from Abi Morgan following the desperate search of a father when his nine-year-old son disappears one morning on the way to school. According to reports, actress Meryl Streep will be receiving the Honorary Palme d’Or award at the opening ceremony of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Streep has starred in numerous films throughout her career and has the distinction of being the most nominated person in the acting categories at the Academy Awards.
