There’s nothing so joyful and energizing as watching a stage full of talented and skilled performers pour their hearts out through each step and with each note of such a heartwarming, spectacle-filled, magical production as this!

On Friday night I headed out to Boerne Community Theatre to watch their current production, Don’t Talk to the Actors, by Tom Dudzick. I’ve enjoyed directing scenes from his plays over the years, and I was delighted to discover another of his playful scripts full of fun characters, energetic comedic moments, and heartwarming connections.

What did our critic think of REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES at The Classic Theatre Of San Antonio?

San Antonio will be buzzing with live theatre this summer, presenting a variety of shows for all ages. As always, these theaters do a wonderful job of carefully considering community needs and desires as they present large scale musicals or thoughtfully intimate performances.

The show truly left us wanting more, and I highly recommend seeing this touring show if you get the chance!

At the latest production at San Pedro Playhouse, we had the most joyous experience watching their flawlessly vibrant production of Anything Goes! 

This is a show that all ages can enjoy, and I hope the San Antonio community will head out and enjoy playing Loteria with Magik Theatre!

San Antonio, this is a show you absolutely do not want to miss! It runs May 9-June 1, so do yourself a favor and grab your tickets to set sail with San Pedro Playhouse on their grand adventure!

​​​​​​​What a glorious Sunday evening out at San Pedro Springs Park for Shakespeare in the Park with The Classic Theatre and San Pedro Playhouse! We had the unique opportunity this year to sit at one of the VIP tables with some friends, and we had a great evening of perfect weather and a wonderful play. What a great way to enjoy Shakespeare’s works in a beautiful environment, and I always appreciate how this theatre pays great attention to detail and creates such high caliber experiences for their guests!

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center’s Teatro Salon is thrilled to announce that playwright Irene Chavez's powerful script, 'Las Comadres de Morales Street,' has been chosen for its next theater production, with its world premiere scheduled for March 21-30.

What a precious and inspiring story, full of everything a musical should be! San Antonio, you have until March 2 to see this show, and I highly encourage you to get out and experience it! It is truly delightful!

The show overall was just a joy. The music was wonderful, and what a triumphant tribute to the 1960s music scene. This show is unmissable! If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and come out to see it. Your heart will appreciate the positive jolt!

Overall, we were glad we gave this show another chance. It will never be my favorite show, but it doesn’t have to be. It had some beautiful moments and some important messages about knowing what you are meant to offer the world and about not giving into doubt. Despite any negative opinions I have of the show, it did give us that. And that’s a pretty powerful thing to give.

This adaptation placed the story in Hispanic culture and heightened the themes of the sacredness of family and returning to your roots. Like the original, the production sought to remind audiences of the meaning behind the holiday madness.

The show’s depiction of high school life was completely accurate (just like the movie). And the lessons Tina Fey wrote into the script were as important as ever. The stage came to life with teenage energy and angst, along with some incredible dance numbers!

I would highly encourage you to head out and see this timely production. As per usual, Classic gets it right and presents an excellent and thought-provoking experience.
