Australia's King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have announced two massive career-spanning marathon shows for Spring 2020. The shows, which will run for three hours and incorporate material from all 15 of the band's records, will take place at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA on April 18, 2020 and at Red Rocks in Morrison, CA on May 6, 2020. Pre-sale tickets to the shows will be available this Thursday, November 14 at 10am PT, and tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, November 15 at 10am PT. On November 12 OVID launches an Animation Collection with 33 animated films from the National Film Board of Canada, adding to the collection of over 600 films expanding this unprecedented collaboration and OVID's mission.

The National Symphony Orchestra has a rich history of recording, dating back to award-winning projects from the early 1970s with past music directors Antal Dorati, Mstislav Rostropovich and Leonard Slatkin. The Orchestra's new self-produced label celebrates this legacy and looks to the future with the release of the first recording under the baton of its seventh music director, Gianandrea Noseda. 

Power California's Our Future Fest, a freemusic, art, and action festival for young people took place over Veteran's Day Weekend this Sunday, November 10th at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles. The event's stellar line up included headliner Kid Ink and D Smoke  - winner of Netflix's Rhythm And Flow - plus MCs Kendrick Sampson (The Flash, Vampire Diaries, Insecure) and Yesi Ortiz (97.1 AMP Radio). Along with great sets from Y La Bamba, Ruby Ibarra, DJ Livia, Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries, Chhoti Maa and Indigo Mateo, speakers Edna Chavez (March For Our Lives), Thomas Lopez (International Indigenous Youth Council) and Alyesha Wise(Spoken Literature Art Movement) delivered rousing speeches. The festival's grounds included multiple action tents with screen-printing, art making, voter registration and health and wellness activities. Prior to the festival's start, D Smoke, Kendrick Sampson and Yesi Ortiz took part in a round table discussion with some of the Power California youth organizers. They discussed how to use their power to energize their friends and family and how their goal to change the California state voting age to 16 would result in more young people making their voices heard.

Last night, Alice Merton's The Voice of Germany contestant, Claudia Emmanuela Santoso won the season. This victory marks the first time in The Voice of Germany's nine seasons that a female coach had the winning contestant. Prior to her victory, Merton and Santoso sang an original single Alice had written for her entitled, 'Goodbye.'  Santoso won the contest with a whopping 46% of the vote against four other competitors. Santoso is the third international contestant to win in the show's history.

For her 4th CD release, vocalist/violinist Calabria Foti wanted to do an album like her vocal heroes did back in the day; that is, with a big orchestra and legendary arrangers on the podium in an iconic Hollywood recording studio. Ms. Foti says, “This is the most expansive project I have ever done, and at the same time, it's the most intimate and personal. I recorded at Capitol Records with a full orchestra, singing some of the most endearing, sentimental songs ever written, all for my loved ones. This album is a full-production tear-jerker!”

Montana-based rising stars, The Lil Smokies, have just announced the release of their third studio album, Tornillo, on January 24, 2020. Singer/songwriter Pink Sweat$ has announced the release of an official remix to his hit single, “Honesty,” with Canadian singer/songwriter Jessie Reyez. The melodic record is available now on all digital retailers and streaming platforms. The release follows his recent collaboration with K-pop sensation Crush to deliver the rhythmic anthem, “I Wanna Be Yours.” 

Posthardcore band LIMBS will be head banging their way into 2020 as they announce that they will be joining Beartooth and Motionless In White on their upcoming co-headline Diseased & Disguised Tour.
