Margaret Edson’s winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. After spending years studying and teaching the metaphysical poetry of John Donne, a renowned but uncompromising English professor has been diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. During her illness as a patient in an experimental chemotherapy program, she struggles with doctors and family, ultimately reassessing her life with such profundity, grace, and humor that she transforms herself and all those around her. July 28, 2025 City Theatre Austin continues its summer 2025 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama WIT by Margaret Edson, running through August 10 at Genesis Creative Collective. Final performances will take place Thursday–Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m.
