A milestone in the American theatre, A Raisin in the Sun is the intensely emotional drama chronicles how a financial windfall touches the lives of a Black family in Chicago in the late fifties. As the simple desire for a home of their own becomes the touchstone of heartbreak, sacrifice, trust, and love, their story is a heroic struggle to hold a broken world together. Part of the 2026 Austin Juneteenth Celebration.
