Adapted from Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, To Kill a Mockingbird is the riveting stage production of the seminal American classic about childhood innocence, social inequality, and racial injustice. In sleepy Alabama, in the midst of the Great Depression, Scout and her brother, Jem, live with their widowed father, lawyer Atticus Finch. The facade of their seemingly peaceful town begins to crack when a young black man is accused of a terrible crime. Driven by an unshakeable moral conviction, Atticus defends him in a trial that sends violent waves through the community. Atticus inspires kindness and empathy in his children but is pushed to the limits of these when he resolves to uncover the truth in a town that seems determined to hide it. Timeless, lingering, and searingly relevant, this hard-hitting work explores prejudice, compassion, and the courage to do what is right. October 3 - 19. Thursday – Saturday 8:00 pm. Sunday 3:00 pm.
