The Nora Saga: A Doll's House, Part 2 at Vandegrift High School Performing Arts Center

For the first time ever, Vandegrift Theatre Company will produce two mainstage plays in tandem with each other, the classic drama A Doll’s House and the new comedy A Doll’s House, Part 2.

ABOUT A DOLL’S HOUSE PART 2

It’s fifteen years after the events of A Doll’s House and the “door slam heard round the world.”  Lucas Hnath’s daring and original sequel to Ibsen’s classic begins with a knock at the very same door.  Nora has returned, and it is she who is knocking.  But why is she back?  And what does her return mean for those she left behind?  Just as A Doll’s House examined the ideas of marriage, womanhood, and self-fulfillment 144 years ago, Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House Part 2 does the same with a sharp, witty, modern, and hilarious approach and discusses all the ways women’s roles have—and haven’t—changed over the years.

A Doll’s House Part 2 will be performed on Thursday, January 25th and Saturday, January 27th at 7pm and Sunday, January 28th at 2pm.

Running Time: Approximately 1 hours & 45 minutes, including one 15 minute intermission.

A Doll’s House Part 2 contains some adult content and language and is recommended for ages 12 and up.
