Fresh from its New York City premiere, Jarrott Productions presents Destination, a new play by George Ayres. Directed by JP Founding Artistic Director David R. Jarrott, this new production features some of your favorite Austin actors.
When 83-year-old widower and retired architect Howard Wright faces unexpected personal crises, he escapes his Houston assisted living facility, determined to break free from his own stasis and take matters into his own hands.
Destination is a bittersweet yet humorous look at life and love among a generation on the losing end of both.
Performances run May 14–31 at Trinity Street Playhouse in downtown Austin. Showtimes are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm.
Tickets range from $15–$35, with discounted options available at every performance and Supporter tickets helping keep this work accessible.
With Destination, former Austinite George Ayres reminds us—it’s never too late for life to surprise us.
