Come join us for The Future is Female; an evening of short plays written solely by female playwrights. This is the Atlanta outpost of this nationwide festival.
The Future Is Female Festival is a cross-country event throughout March 2017 of short plays by women of all backgrounds on the subject “the future is female,” and what that looks like and/or means to them.
With 27 outposts in 18 cities, our voices are joined together and amplified; the festival will feature work by about 140 women reaching over 2,000 audience members. Instead of spending the month celebrating women’s history, we celebrate women’s futures.
The local festival outpost includes plays by Laura King, winner of the 2016 SETC/Ready to Publish Award, Amber Bradshaw, Managing Artistic Director of Working Title Playwrights, Donna Latham, a Kennedy Center finalist, David Mark Cohen Playwrighting Award, Beverly Austin, Emma Harr, Allie Costa, and Connie Schindewolf and performances by Melissa Rainey, a MAT Award nominee, Daryl Fazio of Synchronicity Theatre and Found Stages, Jillian Walzer, Erika Ragsdale, Joshua Mikel, Kerwin Thompson, Paris Sarter, Peter Hardy, of Essential Theatre and directed by Rebekah Suellau of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project.
March 17th and 18th at 7:30 p.m.
Net proceeds to benefit Raksha. More Information at www.onionmanproductions.com
