On Wednesday September 25, local Atlanta school DeKalb Academy of Technology and the Environment, Inc., also known as D.A.T.E., got their Golden Ticket! Cast members from the Broadway tour of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (currently playing the Fox Theatre until September 29 as the first show of the 2019-2020 Broadway in Atlanta season) participated in a special Q&A with a group of drama students, including those who performed in the school's own production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last spring.

On Saturday evening, November 9, 2019, the vintage singing trio, The Beverly Belles, will perform at Byers Theatre paying tribute to our country's veterans past and present. On Monday, November 11, 2019, at 11:30 a.m., the City's annual Veterans' Day event will take place on the Green at City Springs.

Winner of 7 Olivier Awards and 5 Tony Awards including 'Best Play,' the show brings Mark Haddon's beloved best-selling novel to thrilling life on stage, adapted by two-time Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens.  Horizon Theatre Company's Atlanta premiere starts performances September 20, 2019 (Press Opening September 27, 2019) and runs until October 27, 2019 at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points/Inman Park (1083 Austin Avenue N.E., Atlanta, GA 30307)  Atlanta. This show is a co-production between Horizon Theatre Company and Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This production will move to Aurora for a run from January 9 through February 9, 2020. The play is sponsored in part by The Marcus Autism Center, a subsidiary of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and Osiason Educational Foundation.
