Guest conductor Thomas Wilkins will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra February 2-4, 2012, in a program featuring Ravel's Mother Goose Suite and Dvo?ak's Symphony No. 8. Pianist Gabriela Montero will also be featured on the program and will make her Atlanta Symphony debut with Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. The concerts will take place in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Guest conductor James Gaffigan will make his Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut February 23 and 25, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., leading the Orchestra in a program featuring the Atlanta Symphony premieres of Haydn's Overture to L'Isola disabitata, and Thomas Ades's violin concerto, Concentric Paths, featuring violinist Leila Josefowicz. The program will also include the Prelude to Act One of Wagner's Lohengrin and Debussy's La mer. The performances will take place in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Rehearsals have begun at Milton High School for their production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. This show will perform March 14-17, directed by Renee Denney and music directed by Leigh Ann Shaw. The cast is full of experienced high schoolers, some of whom also appeared in Milton's successful production of HAIRSPRAY in spring 2011. It will feature choreography by the Off-Broadway choreographer and acclaimed tap dancer Jen MacQueen, who choreographed the recent Atlanta production of A Chorus Line at Aurora Theatre, for which she received a BroadwayWorld (Atlanta) Award Nomination for Best Choreography in a Musical.
