Robert Spano To Lead Atlanta Symphony In Two World Premieres, 4/4

Music Director Robert Spano will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in "A King Remembrance" - an annual musical tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. presented by Delta Air Lines - on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center. The concert will commemorate the anniversary of the civil rights leader's death.

The Atlanta Fringe Festival has announced that 7 Stages, already a venue sponsor and participant, has substantially increased their sponsorship and will serve as AFF's public and administrative headquarters during the Festival's run this June. In addition to hosting Fringe Central, the renowned local company will be providing performance space in their mainstage and black box theatres, as well as hosting the opening and closing night celebrations. The 2nd Annual Atlanta Fringe Festival, featuring twenty-four productions from ten states, will take place June 5-9, 2013.

In keeping with its commitment to provide hands-on music education opportunities throughout the region, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will offer introductory-level music classes to children and adults beginning in March 2013. The classes offered will include ASO Glee Club, Beginning Strings, and Music Theory I, and little or no prior music knowledge is required to participate. All classes will be held at the Woodruff Arts Center.

The performances will take place March 14-16, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.
