(06/14/2016) - In a story about friendship, fate and fortitude, two farmhands wander through California's Salinas Valley, leaning on each other to find their way in this powerful adaptation of John Steinbeck's quintessential novel, OF MICE AND MEN. The esteemed Jenny Lord of The Juilliard School will direct Serenbe favorites Daniel Parvis and Blake Burgess, cast as George and Lennie, the iconic duo of witty small guy and loafing giant. View lush Serenbe, transformed to a working farm of the depression-era dustbowl, with live horses wandering about the rustic barn and stark minimalism artfully at play. The bucolic barn setting lends itself to an interpretation that is all about relationships - stripped of material means and in the direst of circumstances, watch as two men overcome seemingly impossible odds to reach their destinies.

I know we will all miss being a part of this wonderful show, but we were so happy to share it with great audiences all three nights! (04/25/2016) - It's cutting down to the wire on our production of Bye Bye Birdie! We have about three weeks left until opening night on May 11th, and we have so much left to do. We've blocked and choreographed everything except 'Shriner's Ballet' and 'An English Teacher', so now it's time to polish our dances to make sure they look perfect! Choreography is such an important part of this show, so we definitely have to work extra hard with our choreographer and vocal director to make sure that when we dance, our vocals stay strong, which has been sort of a weak spot for us so far. Another huge part of this show is off-focus acting, which really comes into play the most during 'Honestly Sincere' as all the teens, adults, and even the mayor's wife can't help but be mesmerized by Conrad's charm.

(02/08/2016) - This past weekend my high school theatre troupe attended Georgia Thespian Conference (We call it Thescon), and it was my first time experiencing the beauty of it all. This made me think about the incredibleness of it all- how over 4,000 theatre kids in high school across the state came together to experience a weekend of workshops and watching several schools perform amazing shows.
