(10/05/2015) - The Alliance Theatre's production of A STEADY RAIN, a contemporary crime drama by writer and producer Keith Huff(Mad Men, American Crime), is directed by Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (who currently plays White House Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene on ABC's SCANDAL). A STEADY RAIN runs on the Hertz Stage at the Alliance Theatre now thorugh October 11, 2015. Opening night is tonight, September 23, 2015.

(08/07/2015) - Rehearsals are underway for the Alliance's upcoming production of the classic 1960s drama, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Dale Wasserman and based on the novel by Ken Kesey. The Alliance's production, directed by Susan V. Booth (Blues for an Alabama Sky, The Geller Girls, August: Osage County), will feature some of Atlanta's most talented and well-respected actors in one of the largest ensembles of the 2015/16 season. The Playhouse will make the leap from the brutal, humid streets of New Orleans to the lush and rebellious countryside of Argentina with their audacious retelling of the country of Argentina's most infamous political figure. Since the bulk of the play is set in the rural countryside of Argentina, the play will be brought to life in the fresh rolling hills of Serenbe. There, Serenbe Playhouse's beloved Randi Garza will make the famed ascent of Eva. Eventually, at her side in her famed balcony will be world-renowned Argentinian tango and opera singer Cesar Restrepo as Juan Peron. Steaming things up in the background with his talk of revolution will be Broadway's Charlie Brady as Che Guevera. Check out a first look below!
(07/23/2015) - This weekend, Atlanta-based actors and writers Jeremiah Parker Hobbs and Jessica DeMaria will debut their new breath-taking, folk-rock musical THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE at The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Few stories capture the tumult of the region's hot spells as well as Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, and Serenbe is taking the heat of the story to new heights by setting it outside in the elements of a Georgian summer. The dark southern scope of Blanche DuBois' timeless and sultry tale of deception will be brought to new life in the industrial scenery of Serenbe's newly debuted Art Farm stage. There, the French Quarter of New Orleans will be resuscitated within rustic, recycled shipping containers to create a fresh, bold, timeless take on a true classic. (12/02/2014) - Last winter, when the world was sheathed in a shroud of ice, our hearts were warmed by the story of FROZEN. Now, as the mercury starts to drop, the classic tale of innocence, loyalty, and redemption will be brought back to life with Serenbe Playhouse's The Snow Queen. The world-premiere of Rachel Teagle's adaptation will give audiences the opportunity to embark with Gerda on her heralded quest to save her brother from the icy allure of the mysterious Snow Queen. The story, which showcases the true strength love can have over cynicism, is a sure-fire way to warm our hearts all winter long. 'When we decided to produce our first holiday show we knew it needed to be set in a cold environment,' Director and Founder Brian Clowdus tells us. 'The Snow Queen has such a strong message of redemption and loyalty - what we do for those we love, how to not judge a book by its cover - it was the perfect story for us to tell.'
