Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, continues its 25th Silver Anniversary Season with the FamilyStage: Adventure Series sponsored by the Kimberly Clark Corporation. Up next is Joan Cushing's quirky musical, Miss Nelson is Missing, adapted from the scholastic classic by Harry Allard, and And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank, a powerful multi-media performance that tells the story of Holocaust survivors Ed Silverberg and Eva Schloss by James Still.

Miss Nelson is Missing and And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank, both directed by Erin Bushko, are just two of the four shows this year in GET's FamilyStage: Adventure Series. The other shows include:The Jungle Book and The Giver. A professional cast runs all four productions in repertory, and has toured to over 15,600 school students so far this year with more to come.

Public performances of Miss Nelson is Missing are Saturday mornings at 11:00am and run March 3, 10, and 17, 2018. And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank has one special public performance at7:00pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Both take place at the theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

Miss Nelson is Missing:

The colorful cartoonish illustrations by James Marshall are brought to life on stage in Joan Cushing's musical adaptation of Miss Nelson is Missing by Harry Allard. First published in 1977, the spitballs and paper airplanes are still just as relatable today as they were then.

Miss Nelson's class is the worst-behaved in the whole school, but they are in for a rude awakening when good-natured Miss Nelson goes missing and is replaced by the worst substitute teacher of all time. Before they get the chance to "really act up", Miss Viola Swamp arrives and the kids of Room 207 start to regret their bad behavior in school. In desperation, the students set out to find their beloved Miss Nelson...but will they ever get her back?

And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank:

And Then They Came for Me by James Still is a powerful multi-media performance performed annually by GET for over 20 years.

Two childhood friends of Anne Frank, Eva Schloss and Ed Silverberg, recount their stories via video as professional actors portray them as teens on stage. Eva Schloss describes memories from the day her family went into hiding, the same day as the Frank family. On her 15th birthday, her family was arrested by Nazis and sent to concentration camps.

Part oral history, part dramatic interpretation, And Then They Came for Me has been acclaimed by audiences and critics in world-wide productions.

GET's FamilyStage: Adventure Series features an extraordinary cast of professional actors: Erik Poger Abrahamsen,Asia Howard, JD Myers, Angelica K Spence, and returning TYA cast members Shelli Delgado and Robert Lee Hindsman.

Tickets for Miss Nelson is Missing and And Then They Came for Me are just $10 for all performances. All patrons need a ticket. Tickets are available now online at www.get.org, or by calling the Box Office at 770-641-1260.
