Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) Continues Acting For Camera Class II

Westchester Collaborative Theater (WCT) is currently inviting actors to submit auditions electronically via the WCT website for Acting for Camera II, an on-camera acting class that will create the second season of the popular web-based series, O'Town NY, taught and co-produced by Emmy-award winning director and videographer Matt Lagle. Actors will have the opportunity to participate in the process of filming the series featuring original scripts by WCT playwrights and shot on location in Ossining. Designed to familiarize students with the demands of on-camera work in TV and film, the class is an immersive experience.

Says Lagle, "The process exposes students to the language of the film and television environment... [It] prepares participants for ... the demands [of TV and film]... by teaching how to meet the expectations of filming including honing an ability to react quickly to instruction and direction." Season II will take place almost entirely at the Bethany Arts Community (BAC) in Ossining.

Instructor Matt Lagle, a member of the Directors Guild of America, has over 30 years of experience in daytime drama, situation comedies, children's programming, and other formats.

WCT actor member Jeff Callan who is returning for Season II of O'TownNY has studied stage acting for several years. He says,"I loved taking the class and acting in the web series because it teaches you so much about film and television and you make so many invaluable connections. It's a really great learning experience. I've been blessed by being part of a great cast and crew."

Closing date to submit audition tapes is April 3rd. There are no onsite auditions. http://www.wctheater.org/classes-matt-lagle.html
