Video: Susannah Flood Is Proud That LIBERATION IS Still In the Conversation
Susannah Flood is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play.
It's been months since Liberation closed on Broadway, and since it did, it has picked up a whopping five Tony Award nominations and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Susannah Flood, who played 'Lizzie' eight times a week, has been very happily along for the ride.
"Our show closed months ago. And so I guess the idea that it is still resonating for people, they're still thinking about it, they're still having conversations, they're taking it into their daily life... that is certainly what it is [so special] for me," she explained. "So I feel like I'm in community with those people because that wasn't just in my head."
Watch in this video as Susannah chats more about the Liberation sisterhood, what an honor it is to be in this Broadway season, and so much more. Plus, check out who she is up against and catch up on all the latest Tony Awards coverage!
The 79th Annual Tony Awards will air on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
