TheatreZone Announces 2018-19 Season

TheatreZone, a professional Equity theatre led by veterans of Broadway and Off-Broadway, announces the six musicals it will present during its 2018-19 season, which starts in October 2018.

Tickets go on sale March 1 to current season ticketholders, on March 19 to new season ticketholders who purchase at least three of the Broadway series shows, and on April 1 for single tickets.

TheatreZone is in-residence at the G&L Theatre on the Community School of Naples campus, 13275 Livingston Road, Naples, Florida.

An announcements about TheatreZone's concert series, performances in the community and special events will be made this fall.

Broadway Series:

The Mystery of Edwin Drood
A winner of three Tony Awards including Best Musical, this creative show is an interactive whodunit mystery musical based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. The audience chooses the show's ending at each performance! Performances are 8:00 p.m. on Jan. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19; 2:00 p.m. on Jan. 12, 13, 19, 20; and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 13, 20. Ticket prices are $50, $60 and $75.

Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida
A winner of four Tony Awards, these famous songwriters penned an epic tale of love, loyalty and betrayal told through soaring ballads and exuberant dancing. Performances are 8:00 p.m. on Feb. 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16; 2:00 p.m. on Feb. 9, 10, 16, 17; and 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 10, 17. Ticket prices are $50, $60 and $75.

On a Clear Day You Can See Forever
Memorable music about an unusual young woman, her past life personalities, and the psychiatrist who falls in love with one of them. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. on March 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16; 2:00 p.m. on March 9, 10, 16, 17; and 7:30 p.m. on March 10, 17. Ticket prices are $50, $60 and $75.

And the World Goes 'Round
A stunning revue of the expansive songbook of Kander and Ebb, who wrote the music and lyrics to Cabaret, Chicago and other award-winning Broadway shows. Performances are at 8:00 p.m. on April 25, 26, 27, May 2, 3, 4; 2:00 p.m. on April 27, 28, May 5; and 7:30 p.m. on April 28 and May 5. Ticket prices are $50, $60 and $75.

Additional offerings:

Urinetown
A winner of three Tony Awards, this is a hilarious musical satire about the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility and more. The show will be performed at the Theatre Lab at FGCU's Bower School of Music & the Arts, 10501 FGCU Blvd. South, Fort Myers. It will feature professional actors teamed with FGCU students taught by TheatreZone staff. Performances will be 8:00 p.m. on Oct. 11, 12, 13; and 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 13, 14. Ticket prices are $40 & $45.

Home for the Holidays
Get in a festive mood with this original holiday spectacular featuring seasonal songs and gorgeous costumes. Performances are 8:00 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 8 and 2:00 p.m. on Dec 8 and 9. Ticket prices are $50, $60 and $75.
