STRANGE NEW WORLDS Clip: Spock Leads Fight to Retake a Puppet-Filled Enterprise
The Season 4 scene follows the show's first puppet episode built with Jim Henson's Creature Shop.
Paramount+ has shared a new clip from STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS showing Spock, played by Ethan Peck, leading the Enterprise crew in an effort to retake the ship after a transporter malfunction turns most of the crew into puppets. The chaos gives Orion pirates an opening to storm the bridge, forcing Spock and the remaining crew members to fight to regain control of the vessel.
The scene comes from Season 4, Episode 5, titled 'Level-Five Transporter Accident,' the same episode that marked the series' first venture into puppet-based storytelling. Custom puppet versions of the Enterprise crew were built for the installment by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, a significant departure for a series that has largely stuck to conventional live-action production.
The episode's puppet concept was previously detailed in a behind-the-scenes look at how the Creature Shop designed the crew's puppet counterparts, walking through the process of translating familiar Starfleet characters into puppet form for the one-off installment.
The new clip follows other Season 4 material Paramount+ has released, including a scene from Episode 4, 'A Case of Chiaroscuro,' in which Number One, M'Benga, and Uhura worked to escape a Klingon-occupied planet. Readers can find more on the puppet episode's production in How STRANGE NEW WORLDS Built Its First-Ever Puppet Episode. STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is streaming on Paramount+.
