The Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of SLOWGIRL, a new play by Greg Pierce, directed by Anne Kauffman, will end its extended limited engagement today, Sunday, August 5 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

The world premiere production, which features Željko Ivanek and Sarah Steele, began performances Monday, June 4, opened to critical acclaim on Monday, June 18 and was originally scheduled through Sunday, July 15. This is the first production to be presented by LCT3 in its new home on the roof of Lincoln Center Theater’s Vivian Beaumont Theater.

SLOWGIRL is the story of Becky (Sarah Steele), a teenage girl who flees to her reclusive uncle Sterling’s (Željko Ivanek) retreat in the Costa Rican jungle to escape the aftermath of a horrific accident. The week they spend together forces them both to confront who they are as well as what it is they are running from. Sets are by Rachel Hauck, costumes by Emily Rebholz, lighting by Japhy Weideman and sound by Leah Gelpe.
