Broadway legend Patti LuPone is currently back on stage in LA Opera's The Ghosts of Versailles, by composer John Corigliano and librettist William C. Hoffman. The opera gets its long awaited west coast premiere in a new production directed by 2014 Tony Award winner Darko Tresnjak, running through March 1.

LuPone recently chatted with the Advocate about the production and her carrer so far. She commented: "Some people think I'm a dinosaur, but I'm not on any social media. She continued: "My biggest pet peeve is the lack of respect for the craft of acting. I'm sick of reality TV, which really degrades the art of acting. It's all become so cheap. The standard today is so low."
