PROXY KILL, Starring Mandy Amano, is Released on Amazon

Multi-talented rising star Mandy Amano gives a spectacular, one-of-a-kind performance in "Proxy Kill," acclaimed actor Kyle Downes' ("Higher Ground," "Lizzie McGuire") writing and directing debut, which was released TODAY, Tuesday, November 13 on Amazon Prime (and will continue to stream until December 13). "Proxy Kill," winner of the top prize for Best Film at the 2018 Los Angeles Mindfield Film Festival, is a clever, supremely entertaining thriller, also stars Charlie Babcock, as a SURVIVOR of violent crime descends into a world of murder and lies when he allies with a woman (Amano) claiming to be his confidant for her own nefarious gains.

Having survived a brutal home invasion that left his fiancee dead, Scott (Babcock), now emotionally unstable and reclusive is encouraged to join a support group in an attempt to get his life back on track. At the group he meets the enigmatic O (Amano), a woman claiming to have ties to his attacker. Together the two set out on a path of vengeance to track down the monster who did them wrong but as they progress Scott begins to question O's true motives and intentions as she pulls him deeper into a world of murder and lies. An exhilarating, non-stop joyride, "Proxy Kill" is pure entertainment at its best.

Mandy Amano became "the face that launched a thousand websites" after her Pepsi commercial premiered during the Super Bowl. This led to appearances in Maxim, countless online magazines, blogs, and comic books - most notably Shi and Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai.

A genre girl at heart, some of her favorite roles have been starring as "O", the ultimate modern femme fatale, in the neo-noir thriller "Proxy Kill"; the fierce and fiery fighter pilot "Oujo" in "The Last Squadron"; and "Thalia", the little but lethal BLACK OPS vampire, in "Blood Soldiers". She landed a dream role when Steven Ayromlooi cast her as "Princess Kyoko" opposite the mighty Evan Parke in the film festival/comic con phenomenon "The Sun Devil and the Princess," which racked up a show-stopping 20 awards -- including 2 Best Actress wins for her portrayal of the strong, yet ethereal princess. Next up: In 2019, Amano will write and star in the feminist-slanted superhero film "Ultimate Girl and Jo."

Described as "Audrey Hepburn... who could kick your ass" by Shi creator Billy Tucci, Mandy's other passions include All-American Mopar Muscle, French Bulldogs, and kick ass boots.
