POP STARS ARE DUMB (BUT WE LOVE THEM) Announced At Upright Citizens Brigade

UCB Theatre will produce the musical sketch comedy show 'Pop Stars Are Dumb (But We Love Them)' at their Hell's Kitchen theater on January 16th and 30th before the show heads to Los Angeles in February. Check UCBTheatre.com for additional dates, as the show has an open ended run.

Join Brian Bonobos, played by Daniel Lempert (UCB Maude/Lloyd Night), host of the very-real-and-not-made-up celebrity gossip show 'Pop Stars Are Dumb (But We Love Them)' as we dig up dirt on all of your favorite artists, including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and other parody pop star characters, all played by Eliza Kingsbury (UCB Maude Night, Chicago/Montréal Sketchfest). Featuring Douglas Widick (UCB, North Coast). Written by Eliza Kingsbury and directed by Michael Hartney (Broadway's School of Rock, JFL, UCBT NY Artistic Director).

The show includes original pop songs in the style of different artists, written and composed by Eliza Kingsbury.
