Rhythm and Blues legend Movin' Melvin Brown is bringing his unique blend of singing, grooving and shaking to Toronto Fringe 2018! After rave reviews worldwide, Melvin is ready to get Toronto dancing with a full length show packed with iconic tunes, legendary dance moves and good times all around, along with incredible true stories from his fascinating and inspirational life.

In Melvin's first Toronto Fringe Festival offering, Movin' Melvin Brown - A Man, A Magic, A Music! shows how he earned his nicknames: The Dance Man, All-around Mr Entertainment!

The show unfolds Black Music history 50's to 90's in Song, Dance, Tap, comedy and true stories which prove that sometime life situations are funnier than fiction. In the early 70's the iconic and funky band Movin' Soothin' & Stone Funk Band had a Soul hit on the charts (Love Stormy Weather). They intensively toured through Canada and the US, to make it to Alabama where their opening act was Lionel Richie & The Commodores. Movin' Melvin also shared the stage with James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers, and many more.

This is a fresh take of Melvin at his best, with an updated version of the show that got him five star reviews in Edinburgh, Adelaide, sold out performances as well as awards/nominations in Brighton UK (Star of the Festival), New York (Outstanding Performance), Vancouver (winner 'People Choice award'), Ottawa (Best performer), Wellington...

This Toronto premiere features a legendary man who has lived an epic era and who will blow away his audiences. A Man, A Magic, A Music is an evening you won't want to forget!
