Spektrix, a leading cloud-based box office management software for the arts, today announced it has been selected by the world famous Juilliard School to simplify ticketing and gain new insights from audiences for the school's many performances.

Juilliard is a byword for excellence in the performing arts. Established in 1905, the Juilliard School counts among its alumni some of the globe's most famous actors, recitalists, orchestral and operatic musicians, administrators and teachers. Juilliard became part of Lincoln Center in 1968 when the School added a four-year drama program to its existing music and dance college departments.

With five venues on their Lincoln Center site, and numerous high-level collaborations and performances throughout the year supported by the school curriculum, Juilliard needed a solution that would accommodate complexity in scheduling. The School also needed to move away from manual paper ticket distribution and consolidate separate systems within Juilliard under a single dashboard. With ticket sales for paid events and ticket distribution to free events in the range of 70,000 seats per season, providing box office staff with an intuitive, easy-to-learn user interface was essential.

"For many years, the only way to secure a ticket for a Juilliard performance was to visit the box office in person during regular business hours" ", said Elizabeth Hurley VP of Development and Public Affairs at the Juilliard School. "With Spektrix we are making it vastly easier for people to attend our performances, and we also get a system that helps us manage inventory, learn about attendees, communicate with them more effectively and potentially find new supporters for the school."

Spektrix helps arts organizations of all sizes benefit from powerful box office software accessed through the internet. With no installation required and no upfront costs, the system makes it easy for arts organizations to integrate simplified ticketing with their existing websites. Spektrix CRM, marketing and fundraising modules also take advantage of segmentation and analysis tools to help organizations like The Juilliard School better understand their audiences and make the most of philanthropic programs.

Elizabeth Hurley added: "A great many of our students require significant financial assistance to attend Juilliard. We want to know who is attending performances so we can deepen their engagement with the School and encourage their support of our students. Spektrix has been easy to implement and is proving to be incredibly nimble on the web. I was really won over by the people at Spektrix, the level of commitment they've demonstrated and the extent of their technical support."
