Jersey Boys Tops Billboard's Broadway Album's Chart
The Jersey Boys Broadway cast recording, produced by original Four Season Bob Gaudio on Rhino Records, is #1 on the Billboard's Top Broadway Albums chart and has moved up from #186 to #85 on the Billboard Top 200. Amazon.com reports the album is #1 in the "Broadway & Vocalists" category.
Jersey Boys, the winner of four 2006 Tony Awards® including Best Musical, has sold more cast albums than any other previous Tony Award® winning musical in the week following the awards in SoundScan history (since 1991).
Jersey Boys, written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff is playing at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue).
Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli (John Lloyd Young), Bob Gaudio (Daniel Reichard), Tommy DeVito (Christian Hoff) and Nick Massi (J. Robert Spencer). This is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide - all before they were thirty.
Tickets to Jersey Boys are available by calling Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200, (800) 432-7250 outside the NY metro area, online at Telecharge.com, and at the August Wilson Theatre box office (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue). Group sales tickets available by calling (877) 5-Dodger / (877) 536-3437.
Cast recording available now on Rhino Records.
The National Tour of Jersey Boys will begin in San Francisco in November.
