Tony Award winning producer and award-winning Broadway marketer Hugh Hysell today announced the launch of Hysell Marketing, a new marketing firm specializing in live entertainment marketing.

Hysell Marketing is a full-service Broadway marketing firm built on Hugh Hysell's award-winning experience. Prior to today's launch of Hysell Marketing, Hysell led the North American Arts and Theater division of GrouponLive (a joint venture between Groupon and Live Nation Entertainment) and served as the Director of Marketing and Development for NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. From 2002 to 2013, Hysell ran HHC Marketing here he led marketing campaigns for more than 200 Broadway and Off Broadway shows with his company HHC Marketing. While at HHC, he also served as the national sales director for BroadwayBox and owned Teams on Broadway, a street team company that represented over 50 Broadway productions and several seasons of Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Hysell is a Tony Award®-winning Broadway producer, award-winning marketer and actor. His Broadway producing projects include Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (2013 Tony Award ® for Best Play), Peter and the Starcatcher (winner of 5 Tony Awards), and Impressionism. He most recently led the North American Arts and Theater division of GrouponLive (a joint venture between Groupon and Live Nation Entertainment) and served as Director of Marketing and Development for NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. As President of HHC Marketing (2002-2013) Hysell provided marketing services for more than 200 Broadway and Off Broadway shows including The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Spamalot, Gypsy, The History Boys, [Title of Show], Gazillion Bubble Show, Slava's Snow Show, and many others. Hugh and HHC Marketing were awarded the Globes Award for "Best Small Budget Campaign in the World" for creating the Guinness World Record setting "Largest Coconut Orchestra" for Monty Python's Spamalot. He currently serves on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Multicultural Diversity Action Committee and has provided pro bono services to Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids, HRC, GLAAD and The Commercial Theater Institute. He is a founding member of The Off Broadway Alliance and currently serves as a Nominator for the Off Broadway Alliance Awards. In addition to his theatrical marketing and producing endeavors, Hysell continues to operate TheMenEvent.com, one of the largest LGBT event companies in NYC.
