FINGERS CROSSED Solo Show to Make One-Night-Only Workshop Debut in NYC

Stacy Cancelarich's solo show Fingers Crossed will be performed for one night only on July 21 at 6pm at Paradise Factory Theater as part of Diamond Mesh's "Manifestival."

After a fateful car accident on Thanksgiving Eve, Stacy's beloved father gets diagnosed with heart failure.... and then lung cancer.... oh, and Alzheimer's too. Yikes. In this outrageously funny and darkly poignant solo show, Stacy Cancelarich attempts to care for her dying father while colliding with the COVID-19 Lockdown, her severely obsessive-compulsive mother, and her rehabilitated cult-member sister in the most rollicking hospice care story this side of the nuthouse. Written and Performed by Stacy Cancelarich. Directed and Developed by Michael Gardiner.

Stacy Cancelarich is a psychotherapist, stand up comedian, writer, actor and mom. She has appeared in numerous plays, and moved on to stand up. She has performed most recently at Mohegan Sun, and Broadway Comedy Club in NYC. This is her debut doing a "one woman show", proving you're never to old to chase your dreams. Much gratitude for the support of her kids, Sarah & Sam, Mike Gardiner - fearless and loyal director, and Ted of course "aka" Dad.

Michael Gardiner is an NYC-based director, writer, actor & producer. Recently, he directed Richard Kind in a reading of Daniel Yaiullo's SantaCon and appeared with F. Murray Abraham in Albee's Fragments. While Managing Director of The Black Box, he produced and helped develop new/under-produced plays by Eric Bogosian, Neil LaBute, John Patrick Shanley, Beth Henley, Sam Shepard, Edward Albee, John Guare, "Lemony Snicket" and others. Other select directing credits include: Woyzeck, As You Like It, The Tempest, Romeo & Juliet (BWW Award Winner Best Touring Production), Vanya, Sonya, Masha, & Spike, and Spring Awakening.
