Cipriani And Moment Factory Unveil Immersive Multimedia Experience At NYC Landmark Today, Moment Factory and Cipriani announced the opening of Dream Ship DestiNY (alternatively D.S. DestiNY), an interactive and immersive journey to New York City that will be showcased at the historic Cunard Building. With D.S. DestiNY, Moment Factory, a multimedia entertainment studio known for creating captivating installations across the globe, will give audiences a chance to explore an NYC landmark, as it is transformed into an entertainment experience. D.S. DestiNY will begin previews on August 24 and official opening date to be announced soon. Tickets are now available at dsdestiny.com.

D.S. DestiNY is a multimedia show that allows audiences to step on board a classic ocean liner and set sail on an ocean of dreams, traveling through different eras to the limits of their imagination. Through cutting-edge visual effects and video mapping technology, the Cunard Building's landmark architecture will transform into a canvas for high resolution 360° digital content that will transport guests on an immersive voyage with interactive elements (totaling approximately 35 minutes). Guests will see the architecture of the building come to life, enveloping them in light, color, and sound-all in the heart of New York's financial district, directly across from the famous Charging Bull.

"We are thrilled to work with Cipriani and kick-off our partnership with an unprecedented experience in New York City," says Eric Fournier, partner and Executive Producer at Moment Factory. "At Moment Factory we are constantly pushing the limits of technology and entertainment, and D.S. DestiNY will introduce these innovative technologies to New York, fused with interactive, emotion-based storytelling."

"The Cunard Building was built in the 1920s, so when we started this project we were challenged with integrating state-of-the-art technology into a New York City landmark building while carefully respecting the protected historical architecture," says Giuseppe Cipriani. "It was additionally important for the team to embrace and highlight the rich history and details of this grand space, from the larger than life maps throughout the room, to the 65-foot-high vaulted ceilings, adorned with murals and ornate images of steamship routes and sea life. We want audiences to appreciate the character of the building and forget the technology used in the experience."

"With our projects at the Parliament of Canada, the Macy's flagship store in NYC, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall, and Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Moment Factory has built a reputation for breathing new life into historical spaces and bringing people together. The Cunard Building offered us the perfect opportunity to continue that mission," says Creative Partner of Moment Factory, Sakchin Bessette. "Through D.S. DestiNY, we are able to open the doors to a New York City landmark and bridge a piece of the city's history with modern technologies to create a new entertainment experience unlike any other."

D.S. DestiNY is created by Moment Factory and co-produced by Cipriani and Moment Factory. For additional information visit dsdestiny.com.

About Cipriani

On May 13 1931, Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. opened Harry's Bar on the first floor of an abandoned rope warehouse off a dead end in Piazza San Marco, Venice. At 50 square meters, it appeared to be a typical "cozy" Venetian restaurant, but with the careful attention to detail and perfectly proportioned furniture, glasses and cutlery, Harry's Bar was anything but typical. Unchanged since 1931 and now a National Landmark, its famously relaxed atmosphere, great food and warm service have catered to a very eclectic clientele that has included through the years Hollywood legends, royalty, artists and people from all over the world. It has been constantly imitated but never reproduced.

In the 87 years since and with three generations of Cipriani family members leading the growth, Arrigo, Giuseppe and his sons Ignazio and Maggio, Cipriani has developed into an international hospitality brand, with restaurants, landmarked event spaces, luxury residential, hotels and clubs around the world including Venice, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Monte Carlo, Ibiza, Mexico City, Dubai, Riyhad and opening soon Las Vegas. Through the years Cipriani has become renowned also for producing some of the most exciting music events, from the Cipriani Concert Series to the famous annual costume Halloween party, that draw a crowd of aficionados who travel to NYC specifically for these occasions.

The timeless values of love for service, lack of imposition, quality of products and luxury in simplicity are still valid today as they were in 1931. http://cipriani.com/

History of building

The Cunard Building is a historic New York City landmark built in 1921 for the Cunard Steamship Line, which was named after Samuel Cunard. The lobby of the building was used as a ticketing hall for transatlantic journeys and designed by architect, Benjamin Wistar Morris. The interior of the building was designed to represent marine and steamship lines that portrayed the voyage at sea while the exterior boasts a Renaissance façade making it attractive to all that walk by. The building has maintained its opulent interior which includes paintings of steamship routes and sea life to add to the exquisite vaulted ceilings and unique architecture. The rich history behind the iconic building serves to tell a narrative through it's paintings and architecture. The Cunard Building was designated a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission on September 19, 1995. In 1977, the building was sold and used as a Post Office branch until 2000 and today, the landmark is controlled and operated by the global hospitality brand Cipriani. With its majestic interior and breathtaking architecture, the Cunard Building serves as an iconic institution for Downtown New York.
