According to The Hollywood Reporter, Broadway's Steven Pasquale (Bridges of Madison County) will portray LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman in FX's upcoming anthology series AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE VS. O.J. SIMPSON.

The series, from the 'Glee' team of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, is based on Jeffrey Toobin's best-selling book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

The 10-episode series will follow O.J. Simpson's 'Trial of the Century' from the viewpoint of the lawyers involved and will "explore the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuverings on both sides of the court... it will display how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness and the Los Angeles police's history with the city's African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt."

Fuhrman was the detective assigned to investigating the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman . He eventually pleaded no CONTEST to perjury charges and settled on a plea deal following his testimony in the Simpson murder trial.

Pasquale will join previously announced cast members Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Selma Blair, John Travolta, David Schwimmer, Sarah Paulson, Connie Britton), Courtney B. Vance, Jordana Brewster and Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J.
The actor portrayed Sean Garrity on TV's Rescue Me. He starred in 2009's Reasons to Be Pretty and last year's The Bridges of Madison County. Off-Broadway credits include Fat Pig, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide..., A Soldier's Play and Far From Heaven. He can currently be seen on the Netflix drama 'Bloodline.'
