Legally Blonde's Paul Canaan, Christian Borle and Lindsay Nicole Chambers, plus Broadway's Adam Pelty, Merri Sugarman and Randy Redd will participate in Usdan Center's Second Annual "The Craft of Broadway" as part of the "Summer in September" workshops, Saturday and Sunday, September 29 & 30.

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts, America's premier summer arts day camp, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary, will present its second annual "Summer in September" weekend on Saturday and Sunday, September 29-30.

"The unique weekend of intensive study will feature three workshops: Essay Writing for high school students, to improve college-admission prospects; The Craft of Broadway, a two-day workshop for aspiring high school stage actors, consisting of audition workshops and lectures on "the business of show business" and a day of study on Broadway; and the Audition and Admissions Workshop for Advanced Conservatory-Bound Musicians," explain press notes.

"The Craft of Broadway" is presented as a Usdan Center collaboration with the theater education company Moveable Arts, a collective of prominent Broadway professionals, including actors, producers, and musical director and casting specialists. Participants this year will include: Moveable Arts co-founder and musical performer; casting Director Merri Sugarman; and musical director Randy Redd. Plus, after a visit to Broadway's Legally Blonde, cast members Paul Canaan, Christian Borle and Lindsay Nicole Chambers will hold a talk-back session and dance workshop with students.

All-inclusive tuition for the "Audition and Admissions" and "Essay Writing" workshops is $95; and $275 for "The Craft of Broadway." Specialists in their respective fields will teach each course. A full brochure with course descriptions and faculty listings is available by calling Usdan at: 631-643-7900 or visit www.usdan.com. All Saturday classes will be held at Usdan Center, 185 Colonial Springs Road in Wheatley Heights, Long Island 11798.
