"Smoke on the Mountain" tells the story of a Saturday Night Gospel Sing at a country church in North Carolina's Smoky Mountains in 1938.
A young and enthusiastic minister of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church has enlisted the Sanders Family to head a Saturday Night Sing in his efforts to bring his tiny congregation into "the modern world." Between songs, they each "witness" as one thing after another goes awry revealing their weaknesses and allowing the congregation (audience) to share in their triumphs.
Kick off the holiday season with Play-by-Play Theatre as we celebrate the end of our 5th season, and have fun clapping and singing along!
