Westport Country Playhouse announces that due to high ticket demand for its current production of Lerner & Loewe's "Camelot," an extra week of performances has been added, extending through Saturday, November 5. Additional performances are scheduled on Wed., Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.; Thurs., Nov. 3, at 8 p.m., Fri., Nov. 4, at 8 p.m.; and Sat., Nov. 5, at 3 and 8 p.m. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

"Advance sales have been phenomenal for this much-anticipated musical," said Mark Lamos, "Camelot" director and Playhouse artistic director. "Our audiences are eager to see this reimagined, intimate adaptation of the classic Lerner and Loewe musical with its glorious score, and the brilliant cast headed by Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard. Its message of hope and honor is especially pertinent in the world today."

From the legends of the noble Knights of the Round Table, "Camelot" tells of the romantic triangle involving King Arthur, his Queen Guenevere, and her lover Sir Lancelot.

With book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, based on T. H. White's novel "The Once and Future King," the book is adapted by David Lee, with new orchestrations by Steve Orich. Choreography is by Connor Gallagher; musical direction of the eight-piece orchestra is by Wayne Barker. The original production was directed and staged by Moss Hart.

"Camelot" tickets start at $40. Buy early for best prices. For more information and to buy tickets, visit www.westportplayhouse.org or call the box office at (203) 227-4177, toll-free at 1-888-927-7529, or visit Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court, off Route 1, Westport.
