Bernadette Peters to Make TV Apperances, July 7 & July 8

Bernadette Peters will make several television appearances in connection with her annual animal adoptathon, "Broadway Barks 8!"

She will appear as a guest on "Live with Regis and Kelly" on July 7, airing at 9:00am (EDT) in New York. She will also appear on the CBS news program, "Saturday Early Show," on July 8th, which airs from 7:00am-9:00am (EDT).

"Broadway Barks 8!," which Peters will co-host with Mary Tyler Moore, will take place later on July 8th, in Shubert Alley in New York City (starting at 3:30pm).

A two-time Tony-winner for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, Peters has received Tony nominations for her performances in the 1972 revival of On the Town, Mack and Mabel, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the 2003 revival of Gypsy. She also originated the role of the Witch in Into the Woods, and has appeared in such films as Slaves of New York, Alice, The Jerk and It Runs in the Family. Her latest recording, "Sondheim Etc., Etc.--Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)"--is currently available in stores.  She is currently on a national concert tour, as well.
