Before taking HELLO, DOLLY! on the road, Leaming understudied the role in the recent Broadway revival and celebrated 600 shows with the classic musical a few weeks ago. In addition to Dolly, you may have seen her on Broadway as Anna in Lincoln Center's revival of The King and I, Rosalie Mullins in School of Rock, or Anita in On the Twentieth Century.

Broadway legend Carolee Carmello took a break from life in Yonkers to talk to me about Hello, Dolly!, life on tour, and so much more.

Wow wow wow, fellas! 55 years ago, Broadway's legendary original Dolly Levi, Carol Channing, took to the cover of Life Magazine as the matchmaker. Carolee Carmello, who is currently portraying the iconic character on the show's national tour, paid tribute to Channing by reenacting the photo in costume on stage. Announcing the cast for the first national tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Hello, Dolly!, starring Broadway legend, Tony Award winner Betty Buckley. The first national tour of Hello, Dolly! began performances September 30, 2018, in the Connor Palace at Cleveland's Playhouse Square, ahead of their official opening night on October 5, 2018. Additional tour stops include Chicago; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; Boston, and many more cities across America.

The producers of HELLO, DOLLY!,  the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, and Broadway In Boston announced today that single tickets for the National Tour starring Broadway legend Betty Buckley will go on sale Sunday, April 28, 2019. HELLO, DOLLY! plays the Citizens Bank Opera House August 13 - 25, 2019 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

When I saw Hello, Dolly! In New York with Bette Midler last year, I was in awe. I knew that it was special, and it was an experience I'd never forget. I truly considered myself one of the luckiest theatre goers after seeing Midler in this iconic role and now I consider myself even luckier with the night I had at the Orpheum in Minneapolis. Not only have I seen one legend as the infamous Dolly Levi, but now I've seen two. Betty Buckley, best known for her Tony-Award winning performance as Grizabella in Cats, is saying hello audiences across the country in this national tour of Hello, Dolly!.

Hello Des Moines! It's time to put on your Sunday clothes because Hello, Dolly!' is here for one week only at the Civic Center as part of the Des Moines Performing Arts and Willis Broadway Series.
