Leading Australian theatre producer John Frost today announced the international hit musical Dirty Dancing would play in Melbourne and Brisbane in 2015 following its Sydney season. A decade after its World Premiere in Sydney in November 2004, Dirty Dancing will play at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 28 November this year, then Melbourne's Princess Theatre from March and the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from May. Chloe Brooks, 17, Stars as FANNY BRICE at 13th Street Rep

Playwright Chip Deffaa says he never dreamed, when his musical play "One Night with Fanny Brice," first opened Off-Broadway at St. Luke's Theater in the 2011-2012 season, that the starring role would someday be played by a teenager. Over the past three years, stars in their 30s, 40s, and 60s have played the show, which transferred in 2013 to the 13th Street Repertory Theater. Chloe Brooks, who now stars in the show, after previously serving as an understudy, is just 17. (more...)

After a joyful comedic romp of The Chimney Sweep, what can you expect from Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride? Written in 1779, it was premiered by the Paris Opera and was Gluck's penultimate opera, performed more than four hundred times over the next fifty years. He wrote a revised version in 1781 in German, Iphigenie auf Tauris which was staged as a tragic singspiel at the National Theatre in Vienna but proved less popular than the original French version. Telemundo to Host Social Media Summit

Telemundo announced its first-ever social media influencer summit, dubbed #YoSoyelInfluencer, as part of the highly-anticipated reality series, “Yo Soy El Arista' (“I am the Artist”), premiering Sunday, September 14 at 8 pm/7c.
