"Wagner Masterworks: Tristan und Isolde: Prelude and Liebestod and Die Walkure : Act 1." The Wagner Masterworks Mother's Day concert will be the first of two performances, held on consecutive weekends, the second performance to take place in NYC at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music.  The Adelphi Orchestra's special  Mother's Day performance of Wagner Masterworks is free and open to the public -  the first 50 individuals to reserve their seats through Eventbrite will receive a complimentary long stem rose at the concert for their Mother. 'Life is too important to be taken seriously,' quoted Oscar Wilde, the famous and infamous author who wrote the ever popular 'The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People' in 1895. In Tandem provides an endearing musical version of Wilde's play reprised from an original 1960 production Earnest in Love. In an adaptation written by Anne Croswell with music composed by Lee Pockriss, the performance had been revived in the early 2000's. on Broadway Director Jane Flieller hits all the right notes with touching humor when she assembled an accomplished, elegant cast to revive Wilde's clever romantic tale of social class and turn of the 20th century society. Children's Playhouse of Maryland, Inc. (CPM), in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex, goes for laughs with the musical comedy, The Addams Family in its Young Adult Series. Performances will be held on the weekends of May 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22 at 1 p.m. with one 7 p.m. show on May 14. The May 15 performance will be sign language interpreted by students of the CCBC Catonsville American Sign Language Certification program. All performances will be held in the Administration Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Blvd. in Rosedale.
