Fotografías de Tina Modotti (1896-1942), Kati Horna (1912-2000), Bernice Kolko (1905-1970), Ruth D. R. Lechuga (1920-2004), Flor Garduño (1957), Ángeles Torrejón (s/d); Maya Goded (1967), Mariana Yampolsky (1925-2002), Lola Álvarez Bravo (1903-1993), Graciela Iturbide (1942) y Paulina Lavista (1942), entre otras, conforman la muestra Confines, confluencias y conformidades, procedente del acervo del Museo de Arte Moderno.
José María Velasco realizó más de 300 pinturas durante su carrera profesional que se extendió por más de cuatro décadas, superando las enseñanzas de su maestro, el italiano Eugenio Landesio, renombrado artista europeo. También fue profesor de perspectiva y de paisaje de Diego Rivera. Su nombre no sólo se observa en calles de la Ciudad de México, también lo lleva una galería de arte enclavada en el Barrio de Tepito, cerca de donde vivió el célebre paisajista del siglo XIX.
