Broadway is coming back to New Mexico when Popejoy Hall reopens this fall! Popejoy Presents has announced the 2021-2022 season featuring the long-awaited Broadway national tour of HAMILTON, now scheduled for 24 performances over three weeks, from January 25 through February 13, 2022.

I had the pleasure of seeing A Bronx Tale with my friend Cassy, who had NEVER seen a musical before! (I know, right?!) I invited Cassy because the 1993 movie, off which the musical is based, is her favorite. Seriously, her cat is named Calogero, after the lead character in both the movie and the play. I was excited to see this show, and especially excited to see it through the eyes of a neophyte theater goer. I was not disappointed!

Leapin' lizards! 'Annie' is coming to the Jersey Shore! Broadway's original Annie, Andrea McArdle, will grace the Axelrod stage as Miss Hannigan from November 2-18. This new production of 'Annie' is directed and choreographed by New Jersey native Al Blackstone, whose career started on Broadway in 'Wicked' and then moved to FOX's 'So You Think You Can Dance,' for which he received a 2018 Emmy Award nomination.
