New York City's Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF), GEMAS, and the MetLife Foundation Music of the Americas Concert Series co-present Cuban early music ensemble Ars Longa de la Habana in their 5BMF debut. Performing a free program highlighting African influences on the baroque music of the New World, Ars Longa will perform on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church.

The Universe of Federico Garcia Lorca will guide this performance into the Spanish dances, poems and songs from the traditional Spanish songbook. There will also be pieces from Padre Soler, Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz.

In celebration of Lunar New Year, the iSING! Suzhou International Young Artists Festival announced the North American premiere of Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 7:30 PM at the Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall in Philadelphia, and Saturday, January 7, at 7:30 PM at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York.

This June, the Martha Graham Dance Company’s acclaimed second company will be back on stage for its 39th New York season with an exciting program of new works and Graham classics. LA Opera has commissioned composer and librettist Carla Lucero to write The Three Women of Jerusalem (Las Tres Mujeres de Jerusalén), an opera to be performed in 2022 by a cast of hundreds in a monumental staging at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, with hundreds of additional performers joining in virtually from around the world.

Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) presents Dora García: Rezos/Prayers Miami, an innovative audio installation that focuses the Spanish artist's performative practice onto a day in the life of Miami. Commissioned by MOAD, Rezos/Prayers Miami makes personal and specific experiences into collective and universal invocations.
