East West Players, the nation’s longest-running Asian American theater and the largest producer of Asian American theatrical works, is launching its 57th anniversary season.

For the first time since 1965, Seattle Opera will present Camille Saint-Saëns’ monumental Samson and Delilah (1877), an evocative retelling of the biblical tale of obsession, lust, and revenge.

The newly unveiled brand will debut in conjunction with the Season Three premiere of the acclaimed series Godfather of Harlem. The show’s second season was EPIX’s best performing season of all time, breaking records for single-title streams in a single day across EPIX’s digital channels.

The Finborough Theatre's new digital initiative #FinboroughFrontier continues with a unique rediscovery from Ukraine – an online premiere reading from leading Soviet-Ukrainian playwright Oleksii Kolomiiets, written in 1965, premiering FREE-TO-VIEW on the Finborough YouTube channel on Monday, 12 September at 6.00pm, and concurrently with subtitles on Scenesaver.

The Choral Arts Society of Washington welcomes Jace Kaholokula Saplan, DMA (they/them) as its new Artistic Director effective September 1, 2022. Long Wharf Theatre yesterday announced the launch of its 2022/2023 season, “Everywhere for Everyone.” Under its new model, audiences will see programming radiating out from the institution's storied home at 222 Sargent Drive and into communities across Greater New Haven.

The Juilliard School will hold its 117th commencement ceremony on May 20, 2022, at 10:30am. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the Lincoln Center campus in Damrosch Park, presided over by Juilliard President Damian Woetzel. It will also be livestreamed at juilliard.edu for those unable to attend in person.

Tiffany Lopez, visionary artist and administrator and proven champion for diversity and inclusion, has been named dean of the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine, following a nationwide search. She will assume the post on July 1.

The National Endowment for the Arts and the American Theatre Wing are pleased to announce the premiere of the final songs from the 2021 winners of the Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge. On Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. ET iHeartRadio Broadway will share these songs in a special broadcast.
