Recently, we had the chance to talk to Adam Meggido, the director of this production, about what it’s been like bringing the show to life.

I just am so grateful. Stages really produced this one for me. So I'm super excited about that. That I could give this to this theater community, and for the rest of the world to know forever and always. That Irish Catechism originated here in Houston, and it will be developed here over the next six weeks, judging from my last preview performances and opening last night. THE TANO JONES REVELRY has released their debut album 'SPINNING NORTH'. Stream, share, and purchase the album now! Along the way, Jones pieced together what would become Spinning North with co-producer Andy Patalan of the band Sponge at Soup Can Studios located in the Motor City.

We've got a really big show planned. We've got a cool set. We have an amazing light design. We have all kinds of cool costumes. I've got backup dancers and my friend Andrew, who I wrote music with over the past eight years he's come on as my musical accompanist and sort of sidekick foil in the show. So it's a one Queen show, but it's actually four of us in the show, counting two dancers, Me. And my friend Andrew and we've written all the music, and I sing all the music and wrote all the lyrics with Andrew.

We were treated to a Q&A with Dan Gillespie Sells (Music), Ivano Turco (Jamie New), Giovanna Fletcher (Miss Hedge) and Talia Palamathanan (Pritti Pasha), hosted by Jonathan Butterell (Director). Here are some highlights from the Q&A, as well as an interview with Ivano!

“The first time I read SKELETON CREW, I was enamored with it. It’s one of the first times that I got to see a play specifically about the Black working class. I think (SKELETON CREW) examines what happens to the people when industries collapse. I'm really excited to tell this story.”

It's me, and I have a band. I sing songs and tell stories all under the theme or the umbrella of getting older, and what is age appropriateness, and things I've noticed about getting older. Mostly, it’s about why is it that we, as a culture, have decided that getting older is the worst possible thing that can happen to us when, of course, it's the only thing that is inevitable in our lives apart from death. And I just I'm really curious about that.

He recently announced his upcoming A Drop In The Ocean Tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of his 2008 breakout solo debut, Daylight. Nashville-based rising star, Bickett, whose single 'QUARTER LIFE CRISIS' hit #28 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart last fall, will provide opening support on the tour.

Then you can relate to this play, and you can specifically relate to the power of “No,” which is certainly one of the themes in the play. Mickle's work is always very funny.

Catya McMullen (pictured), a native New Yorker, now finds herself at home in Los Angeles. While working in film and television, her life-long love of theater inspired her to write plays. The world premiere of Arrowhead is her first being presented here, produced by IAMA at Atwater Village Theatre, directed by Jenna Worsham. I decided to speak with Catya about her journey to writing the play, why she set it in Arrowhead, its themes, and how it speaks to different generations of women about love and sexual identity.
