On Christmas Day 2020 a huge gathering of star-studded talent joins together in a virtual telethon to save a beloved show-business institution greatly in need of help.

Theatre fans are uniting in support of midtown staples West Bank Cafe and the Laurie Beechman Theatre, which like so many other venues and restaurants, are struggling in the wake of the pandemic. Producer Tom D'Angora started a GoFundMe page to help out the 42nd St. hotspots.

Tonight, original NEWSical The Musical cast members Christine Pedi and Christina Bianco, will make special guest appearances during the streaming Actors Fund benefit of this history making “pandemic performance”.  

The 5th longest-running musical in Off-Broadway history, NEWSical The Musical, made history on Saturday, Sept 26th as the first professional New York City show to return to a major stage with a one night only, socially distanced, two performance engagement at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln, NE.

During her stint in the long running Off-Broadway show NEWSical The Musical, Christine Pedi created several videos for the show including a?oeSh*t Liza Saysa??, a?oeHello Dolly Auditionsa??, and a?oe73 Questions with Lizaa??.

While Broadway and Off-Broadway is on hiatus, the cast and crew of the off-Broadway musical A Musical About Star Wars got together to sing a virtual version of the show's anthem, a?oeBe The Change That You Wish To See In The Galaxy' from their homes!

Love Quirks, A New Musical Fable will be making its Off-Broadway premiere in an open-ended run at St. Luke's Theatre (307 West 46thSt.) later this month. Based on actual events, Love Quirks spotlights a group of thirty-somethings (gay and straight), as they explore the bizarre tribulations of love, friendship, and all the blurry lines in-between. The production features an original score of quirky, neurotic, and poignant songs by composer/lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh and a script by Mark Childers filled with laughter, pathos, and an abundance of sexual tension. Previews begin Friday, February 28th and the official opening night is slated for Monday, March 16th. Performances are on Mondays and Fridays at 8:15pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. Quickly, he's gained some recognition for his work over the course of this past year on 'A Musical About Star Wars.'
