The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues celebrate their milestone 20th edition tonight with a musical round! An incredible team of writers, composers, and actors will collaborate from afar to write, rehearse, perform and produce 12 all-new pieces in just 24 hours. Beginning at 6 PM ET, the musical monologues will be published, one every 15 minutes.

STG Announces Marisol Sanchez-Best As New Director Of Education & Community Engagement

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) announced today that Marisol Sanchez-Best will be its new Director of Education and Community Engagement effective August 3, 2020. Sanchez-Best will fill this position after the departure of Vicky Lee, Director of Education and Performance Programs, who established the department in 1999 and has held this position for 22 years, building an expansive and impactful lineup of programs focusing on artist development, access, and education opportunities.

Whitney Estrin Named TDF Director Of Development

TDF (aka Theatre Development Fund) has announced that Whitney Estrin will assume the post of Director of Development. The announcement was made by TDF's Executive Director, Victoria Bailey. Ms. Estrin, who will assume her duties on April 1, is being promoted from the position of Deputy Director of Development she currently holds at TDF. She came to TDF in 2017 having been the Director of Development at Theatre for a New Audience in Brooklyn.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre has announced the appointment of Erica Lauren Ortiz as its new director of marketing. Ortiz will be responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing plan that advances TCG's mission to strengthen, nurture, and promote professional theatre in the U.S. and globally. Working with a portfolio that includes individual membership, events, and publishing, Ortiz will raise the valuation of TCG's programs within the theatre field while championing the not-for-profit theatre to our broader culture.

Jesse Berger - Red Bull Theater Founder and Artistic Director, Jim Bredeson - Red Bull Managing Director, and the Board of Trustees of Red Bull Theater have announced that the Twelfth Annual Running of the Red Bulls Gala Benefit on Monday March 30th will celebrate the company's 17th Season and honor Kate Burton, André De Shields, and Theatre Development Fund with the 2020 Matador Awards for Excellence in Classical Theater. Proceeds from the evening will support all of Red Bull Theater's programs including its upcoming Off-Broadway production of The Alchemist.

The presentation will be made at TDF's 2020 Gala on Monday, March 23 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street, New York, NY).
