'SW!NG OUT' is now at The Joyce Theater through July 2 and wow, just wow! The beloved genre of Lindy Hop, the pre-eminent form of swing-Jazz, partnered dance is being presented at its very best with choreography and improvisation by Director, Caleb Teicher and the Braintrust in collaboration with ultra-talented dancers.

 The Joyce Theater Foundation  celebrates half a century of radical creativity as the final stop on the Big Five-OH! tour from the unpredictable and unstoppable Pilobolus. The extended three-week engagement, featuring three New York premieres, will play The Joyce Theater from July 11-30.

In the fourth week of Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2023, crowd-favorite Dorrance Dance returns July 19-23. The week will also feature several performances on the outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage, including Seán Curran Company & Darrah Carr Dance on July 19-20, a world premiere by Mythili Prakash on July 21, and The School at Jacob's Pillow on July 22. Tickets for all performances are now on sale.

The 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center’s 2022/23 Studio Series will present …she was becoming untethered., a world premiere from choreographer Annie Rigney, who was first introduced to 92NY as a finalist in the 2021  Future Dance Festival.

Playwrights Horizons and MCC Theater have revealed a one-week extension of the world premiere of John J. Caswell, Jr.’s Wet Brain, directed by Dustin Wills, to July 2. 

The Joyce Theater Foundation will welcome the first encore of the Joyce Theater Production of SW!NG OUT for an extended two-week engagement to open the momentous Summer 2023 season.

The program features a highly anticipated world premiere collaboration with Krump artist Brian “HallowDreamz” Henry, along with favorites such as FROM (2019), SAMA (2019), No Ordinary Love (2022), state (2018), and a new arrangement of the full evening work, FOLD HERE (2013).

Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company will participate in The Jamaica Dance Festival 2023, presented by A Better Jamaica, on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 7:00 at Rufus King Park in Jamaica, Queens.

The New York Dance and Performance Awards, The Bessies, New York City's premier dance awards honoring outstanding creative work in the field, has announced the nominees for the 2023 Bessie Awards. This year's Bessie Awards ceremony will be held on Friday, August 4, at 7:30pm, at Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park as part of Lincoln Center's Summer for the City. The event is free and open to the public.

Ballet Tech’s Kids Dance will return to The Joyce Theater June 8-11 following an acclaimed production last year.

Put on your most comfortable walking shoes and be led by poet Paul Rabinowitz through Fort Tryon Park to see and hear dance, music, and poetry performed on benches, lawns, stairways, pathways, near rock faces, and under trees. The event will take place Saturday, June 3 from 3 to 5 PM (rain date: June 4).

New 42 has announced that their annual free dance program, New Victory Dance, will return from July 12 through July 28 for another season of summertime performances for New York City kids.
