Actor's Express continues its 32nd season with the Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home based on Alison Bechdel's bestselling graphic memoir of the same name. This wholly original musical took Broadway by storm and cemented itself as one of the landmark musicals of our time. Directed by Artistic Director Freddie Ashley, Fun Home dives into Alison's past to trace the sequence of childhood events that made her the adult she is today. In doing so, she initiates a journey of reconciliation with her late father, whose mercurial and secretive personality kept the two apart at the precise moments they should have been closest. This musical of coming of age and coming out tells a tale of what happens when you finally see your parents through grown-up eyes.

EVERYTHING IS SUPER GREAT Makes Co-World Premiere At 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome the NY premiere of EVERYTHING IS SUPER GREAT, written by Stephen Brown and directed by Sarah Norris. Produced by New Light Theater Project and Stable Cable Lab Co. in a co-world premiere in conjunction with Theatre Lab FAU, EVERYTHING IS SUPER GREAT begins performances on Friday, November 22 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 14. Press Opening is Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 pm. The performance schedule is Tuesday a?" Friday at 7:30 pm; Saturday at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm; Sunday at 2:30 pm. Please note, there are no performances on Wednesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28; and no matinee performance on Saturday, December 7. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison). Single tickets are $25 ($20 for 59E59 Members). Directed by Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley, Skintight hilariously excoriates America's obsession with youth, sex and physical beauty. Playwright Harmon has a long history with Actor's Express, having served as the theatre's National New Play Network Playwright in Residence in 2010. Since that time, Actor's Express has produced Harmon's hits Bad Jews (2015) and Significant Other (2016).
