Asolo Rep closes its 2021 outdoor season with Ana Isabelle & Friends in Concert: Stand Back, Sarasota! Get a first look at the show in all new photos!

The American Theatre Guild has announced the Broadway Is Back In Thousand Oaks Series at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center. This season includes AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN, WAITRESS, SOUTH PACIFIC and SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical. This season will feature Add On/Swap A Show Option SPAMILTON: An American Parody.

Casting has been announced for the first ever UK and Ireland tour of WAITRESS opening at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 4 September 2021. The show will star Lucie Jones as 'Jenna', Sandra Marvin as 'Becky', Evelyn Hoskins as 'Dawn' and Busted's Matt Willis as 'Dr Pomatter'.

Asolo Rep will close its 2021 outdoor season with Ana Isabelle & Friends in Concert: Stand Back, Sarasota! The concert reunites some of the stars of the theatre's 2017 hit production of Evita. Directed by Broadway's Josh Rhodes, the concert previews April 15 &16, opens April 17 and runs thru April 24 on Asolo Rep's outdoor Terrace Stage, located on the front steps of the FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Far from being musical heresy, R&H Goes Pop! instead serves as a reminder of how Rodgers and Hammerstein were at the forefront of musical theatre during their time, and how their music is truly timeless.

During the event, the music industry will come together to honor the experiences of community members, break the stigma around mental health in the community, and raise money to expand Backline’s programs and services in a time when they are critical for so many.
