Oscar winning and Tony nominated composer and songwriter Al Kasha passed away today, September 14th, in Los Angeles. He was 83 years old.

The GRAMMY Museum® announced today it will release two Songwriters Hall of Fame programs from its archive while the Museum in Los Angeles is closed until further notice in light of COVID-19

On April 25th, Grammy Award-winning producer, singer and longtime Artist in Residence at Monteverdi Tuscany will perform a backyard concert from his home in Los Angeles with all band members stationed more than 6-feet apart from each other. The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago. Among the talented list are a mix of Muny favorites and newcomers. In addition to casting, a comprehensive list of design teams for each production will be released later this spring. Corky Hale's critically acclaimed holiday album, “Have Yourself a Jazzy Little Christmas,” has been reissued by LML Records.  An acclaimed jazz harpist, she also excels on piano and vocals.  She is joined by Kirk Smith on bass and Tom Walsh on drums.

Legendary singer-songwriter and musician Gordon Lightfoot will perform live in concert at Kalamazoo's Miller Auditorium on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at 8 p.m.

Los Angeles musical producer Clifford Bell announced today that he and entertainer Kiki Ebsen were staging 'Giving Thanks: A Benefit for Autism Works Now,' a musical brunch at Feinstein's at Vitello's in Studio City to benefit the nonprofit Autism Works Now, funded by researcher Joanne Lara. Says Bell, 'I produce a lot of Live Entertainment - maybe three or four shows every month and I have for many decades now.'

In conjunction with the Peggy Lee Estate, Capitol/UMe will release Is That All There Is? 50th anniversary digital-only edition on November 15. The remastered edition features three previously unreleased tracks: a remixed version and alternate take of the title track, and an alternate version of “Me and My Shadow.”  A full track list is below.
