The world premiere of Bach Dance Project, inspired by Paul Taylor’s modern dance and Johann Sebastian Bach’s music, will take place on October 25th as part of the 50th anniversary of the Cervantino International Festival in Guanajuato, Mexico. 

Dance maker Paul Taylor first presented his choreography with five other dancers in Manhattan on May 30, 1954. That modest performance marked the beginning of 64 years of unrivaled creativity, and in the decades that followed, Mr. Taylor became a cultural icon and one of American history's most celebrated artists, hailed as part of the pantheon that created American modern dance. 

The Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) will return to the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for its highly-anticipated New York City Season from November 1 to November 13, 2022.

Dancemaker Paul Taylor (1930-2018) first presented his choreography with five other dancers in Manhattan on May 30, 1954. That modest performance marked the beginning of a profound, uninterrupted creative output that shaped the future of American modern dance. His dance company returns to The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH, under Taylor's successor Michael Novak. 

As a process-focused performing arts organization, Works & Process continued to provide opportunities and fees for artists throughout the pandemic, and pioneered the bubble residency model to support their work safely. The fall 2022 season will feature the official world premieres of works created by New York artists.

The Celebrity Series of Boston announces its 2022/23 season today, marking 84 years of bringing touring and local performing artists to Boston.

The 37th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway was presented on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at NYU Skirball.

CreateTheater New Works Festival and JK Productions present OCEAN IN A TEACUP, a spiritual quest musical based on a true story. This Original Musical Set in India runs as part of CreateTheater New Works Festival, from April 28 through May 7, 2022, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036).

 Paul Taylor Dance Company (PTDC) will come to the Joyce Theater June 14-19, 2022, offering audiences a unique series of programs that showcase early works choreographed by Paul Taylor including Tracer, Fibers and Aureole, along with a World Premiere by Michelle Manzanales and the New York Premiere of A Call for Softer Landings by Peter Chu, both of which were commissioned by PTDC. Amy Hall Garner and Omar Román De Jesús were selected by Artistic Director Michael Novak to choreograph through the Taylor Company Commissions program, to be premiered during fall 2022.

Paul Taylor Dance Company will perform at the inaugural City Center Dance Festival from March 24-31, at New York City Center.

The 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center announces the New York City premiere performance of Kurt Jooss's The Green Table by the Paul Taylor Dance Company, celebrating the work's 90th anniversary. Jooss, pioneering choreographer, dancer and theoretician stood among the great figures of 20th-century dance.

Now under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Novak the company continues to be one of  most famous and dynamic modern dance ensembles of our time. In this program, the Company premieres a new work by Peter Chu, a Northrop Centennial Commission, paired with two classic Taylor works, the sublime masterpiece, Airs, and Promethean Fire, set to three keyboard works by Bach as richly orchestrated by Stokowski

The Paul Taylor Dance Company has announced additions to the organization. Jessica Ferretti and Austin Kelly have joined the world-renowned Company, and Michael Apuzzo and alumnus Richard Chen See will join the administrative team.

The Taylor Organization is presenting its 2021 fall benefit experiences. Modern is Now: Illumination features a series of intimate, in-person events beginning October 18, culminating in a special hour-long virtual program benefitting the Company hosted by Taylor Artistic Director Michael Novak and airing FREE on Thursday, November 18, at 8:00 p.m.
