The Laramie Project, by Moisés Kaufman and the members of Tectonic Theater Project, will be performed outside at the South Road Farm in Fayette this July.  What makes The Laramie Project unique for the theatre is its minimalistic set and true-to-story setting, helping to drive home this powerful production.

The news is filled with reports of hate crimes against Asians during the last year. The numbers may be up, but the bigotry isn't new.

Theatre at Marietta College has announced its upcoming production of The Laramie Project. THE LARAMIE PROJECT is the true story of a NY theatre company that traveled to Laramie, WY to interview its residents and tell the story of Matthew Shepard.

The virtual production on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the philanthropic heart of Broadway.

Austin’s oldest film festival, The All Genders, Lifestyles, and Identities Film Festival has announced the departure of Jim Brunzell and the monthly screening for January 2021. Jim Brunzell, who has served as aGLIFF’s Artistic Director since 2014, will depart after seven years of bringing meaningful and notable moments to aGLIFF’s programming.

Some stories hold significant power in their retelling - The Laramie Project is a prime example. The play tells the story of Matthew Shepard, who in 1988, at age 21, was victim to a brutal and fatal homophobic attack.

Florida Rep has announced a whole slate of digital offerings as its Fall 2020 Virtual Season. The fall season includes the Stage@Home Virtual Talkback Series (through Oct. 30), the 2020 Virtual PlayLab Festival (Nov. 5-Dec. 11), and a streaming production of 'Clue' starring the theatre's ensemble of professional actors (Oct. 29-Nov. 1).

Proud Mary Theatre Company, South Carolina's only LGTBQ+ theatre troupe, has been busting down barriers in the arts scene in the Upstate for three years. And now the small company has again taken the road less traveled to confront the Covid-19 crisis head-on.
